Invitation for Postdoctoral Researchers to Apply for Incentive Salary and Mini-Project

The NTHU Research Talent Center is launching two incentive programs for postdoctoral researchers: the "Postdoctoral Researcher Incentive Salary" and the "Postdoctoral Researcher Mini-Project Program." Faculty members are encouraged to recommend outstanding postdoctoral researchers to apply. The application deadline is August 31, 2025 and the online application system will open on August 15. Applicants are advised to download the Word documents in advance for completion and preparation.

  1. Postdoctoral Researcher Incentive Salary
According to the " National Tsing Hua University Research Talent Resource Center
Incentive Salary Implementation Guidelines for Postdoctoral Researchers
", the program includes two types: "Advisor-Matching Incentive Salary" and "Competitive Incentive Salary."
  1. Advisor-Matching Incentive Salary
If the advisor is willing to provide the postdoctoral researcher with at least NT$10,000 per month in additional salary, the postdoc may apply. Upon approval, the Center will match the amount with up to NT$20,000 per month. The quota is limited to 20 awardees.
 
  1. Competitive Incentive Salary
Postdocs not receiving additional salary from their advisors may apply. Upon approval, they will receive NT$10,000 per month. The quota is limited to 10 awardees.
 
  1. Funding Period and Eligibility
The incentive salary may be granted for up to one year (retroactive from August 2025). Upon expiration, reapplication and reevaluation are required. Awardees will receive the title "NTHU Postdoctoral Research Fellow".

  1. Postdoctoral Researcher Mini-Project Program
According to the " National Tsing Hua University Research Talent Resource Center Application Guidelines for the Postdoctoral Researcher Mini-Project Program", the program provides financial support for postdoctoral researchers to extend their existing research and explore innovative or interdisciplinary mini-projects. Applicants must demonstrate a leading role in both planning and execution.
  1. Project Execution Period for 114 Academic Year: Starting from October 1, lasting 6 to 10 months.
  2. Up to 20 projects will be funded, with a maximum grant of NT$150,000 per project. Fundable items include, but are not limited to: part-time project allowance (up to NT$5,000/month), consumables, conference registration fees, travel expenses, and costs for hosting forums or workshops. Equipment expenses are not allowed.
