NSTC First Round of 2026 "Funding for Holding International Academic Conferences in Taiwan" Application
Applications will be accepted starting from March 1, 2026. Our university will accept applications until March 30, 2026, at 9:00 AM. Please see the English content below.
一、國科會為增進我國與國際學術界之交流，以提高我國科技水準及國際學術地位，特訂定「補助國內舉辦國際學術研討會作業要點」。
二、申請期限：115年3月1日起至115年3月30日上午09：00止。（已預留校內行政作業時間，請會議主辦人提早作業）
三、補助會議期間：須為115年4月1日至116年9月30日期間舉行者。
四、申請方式：
(一) 申請人請至國科會「學術研發服務網」之「補助國內舉辦國際學術研討會」專區線上申請並送出。
(二) 送出後請通知所屬學系所協助線上確認。
(三) 並請Email通知研發處計管組蘇暐珍小姐（weicsu@mx.nthu.edu.tw），以利後續彙整送出。
五、其他注意事項：
(一) 主辦或合辦之國際學術組織須經國科會認可，且至少應有兩個國家或地區（不含中國大陸、香港及澳門）之外籍學者來臺參與。
(二) 研討會須具全國性並公開徵求論文或邀請發表。
(三) 得依需求編列托兒服務或無障礙措施經費，以支持女性科研人員及落實CRPD精神。

National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) Funding for Holding International Academic Conferences in Taiwan (First Round, 2026)
1. Purpose
To strengthen academic exchange between Taiwan and the international community, enhance the nation’s scientific standards, and elevate Taiwan’s international academic standing, the NSTC has established the “Guidelines for Funding International Academic Conferences in Taiwan.”
2. Application Deadline
Applications must be submitted between March 1, 2026, and March 30, 2026, by 9:00 AM.
(Note: The internal deadline of March 30, 2026, at 9:00 AM has been set to allow for university-level administrative processing. Conference organizers are advised to submit their materials early.)
3. Conference Period
Conferences must be held between April 1, 2026, and September 30, 2027.
4. Application Procedures
(1) Applicants must apply online through the “Academic Research Service Portal 學術研發服務網” on the NSTC website, under the section titled “Funding for Holding International Academic Conferences in Taiwan 國內舉辦國際學術研討會.”

(2) After submission, please notify your department or institute to confirm receipt of the online submission.
(3) Please also notify Ms. Wei-Chen Su at the Office of R&D, NTHU, by email (weicsu@mx.nthu.edu.tw).
Please contact the university's internal submission office for further assistance.
5. Other Important Notes
(1) The authorized or co-organizing international academic organization must be recognized by the NSTC. At least two foreign scholars from different countries or regions (excluding Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau) must attend the conference in Taiwan.
(2) The conference must involve national-level participation, with significant engagement from the domestic academic community. It should also include an open call for papers or invitations to present.
(3) To support female researchers and ensure reasonable accommodations in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), applicants may include expenses for childcare services or accessibility measures, if needed.

7. Expected Announcement of Results
June 10, 2026 (Wednesday). Results will be announced via an official letter. Extensions may be granted if necessary. Appeals will not be accepted for unsuccessful applications.
