5.Other Important Notes: | ||
(1)If the same project is submitted for funding to more than two agencies, applicants must provide a detailed breakdown of the total budget, including the specific items and amounts requested from each agency. | ||
(2)To promote collaboration with international academic organizations for large-scale conferences, applicants must specify the number of foreign scholars and the countries involved. The conference must include participants from at least two foreign countries or regions (excluding Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau). | ||
(3)For funded conferences, the organizing body must prominently display the statement “Sponsored by National Science and Technology Council” on all conference materials (e.g., posters, notices, handbooks) and at the event venue. | ||
(4)If the conference is conducted using digital technologies, foreign scholars and participants attending via video conferencing or other digital means will be regarded as physically present. Applicants should take into account the requirements of both in-person and virtual formats when planning their budget. | ||
(5)To support female researchers and persons with disabilities attending international academic conferences, applicants may include funding for childcare services or accessibility measures as needed. | ||
(6)The conference must meet the following conditions: | ||
a.The international academic organization must be recognized by the NSTC. | ||
b.At least two foreign scholars from different countries or regions (excluding Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau) must participate in the conference. This requirement does not apply to conferences promoted under NSTC’s specific policies. | ||
c.The conference should have national-level involvement, with significant participation from the domestic academic community. | ||
d.The conference must have an open call for papers or invitations for paper presentations. | ||
